Welcome

Landmark Press is a family owned and operated business, currently located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the County of Boulder, Colorado.  Landmark Press was founded in 1997 by American Early Music pioneer LaNoue Davenport and his son Mark Davenport.  For nearly half a century LaNoue Davenport arranged and edited music for Early Music ensembles, especially the recorder, and, since 1990, Mark Davenport has continued in the family tradition, preparing critical and performing editions for early instruments and voice.  Between the two, they have produced literally hundreds of Early Music editions.  The purpose of Landmark Press is to bring those editions to the public and offer an opportunity for performers, listeners, teachers, conductors, workshop participants, students, and scholars alike, to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Greetings, and welcome to our homepage.  We are pleased to offer these editions to you.  In choosing Landmark Press, you will have the benefit of knowing that each edition was "pre-tested" in workshops or professional performances.  We have hand selected only those editions that have proven themselves to be the most successful, both in their accessibility to performers, and for their artistic value.  Currently, we offer five series:  Art of the Netherlands Series; English Consort Series; J.S. Bach Series; Spanish Renaissance Series; and Special Editions.  Please enjoy browsing our homepage and let us know what you think.
